Calonysterone is an orally effective IL-6 inhibitor. Calonysterone reduces the level of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-6 . Calonysterone prevents diet-induced obesity. Calonysterone normalizes abnormal plasma adiponectin and leptin concentrations. Calonysterone increases the percentage of total DNA methylation. Calonysterone enhances antioxidant activity.
