Overview

Croweacin is a phenylpropanoid compound found in Myristica fragrans Houtt and other species, with antibacterial and corrosion-inhibiting activities. Croweacin acts as a corrosion inhibitor by providing or donating electrons to the brass surface to form a protective layer that blocks aggressive ions.
