Subproside V

Overview

Subproside V is an oleanene glycoside found in the dried roots of Sophora subprostrata ( Leguminosae ). Glycosides are compounds formed by linking a sugar or sugar derivative to another non-sugar substance through the terminal carbon atom of the sugar; they are also known as sugar ligands. Glycoside compounds typically possess anti-inflammatory, anti-infective, anti-cancer, and antioxidant properties, playing a variety of important roles in organisms.
