GCLE (Cephalosporin G 3-chloromethyl p-methoxybenzyl ester) is a SARS-CoV-2 main protease ( M pro ) inhibitor with an IC 50 of 0.03 μM. GCLE selectively acylates the Cys145 residue of M pro . GCLE is applicable to research related to COVID-19.
