Overview

C16 Ceramide-1-Phosphate (d18:1/16:0) is a major form of C1P in cells, produced by ceramide kinase phosphorylating C16 ceramide. It activates cytosolic phospholipase A2α (PLA2α) and stimulates arachidonic acid release in A549 cells.
