DSPE-Pyrene

Overview

DSPE-Pyrene is a phospholipid molecule with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. Pyrene is a fluorescent probe whose spectrum is sensitive to the polarity of its environment. The phospholipid molecule consists of a hydrophilic phosphate connected to two hydrophobic saturated fatty acids by a glycerol molecule. In water, the molecule can orient itself into lipid bilayer and can be used for drug encapsulation, such as drug loaded liposomes or nanoparticles. Please contact us for GMP-grade inquiries.
