MODENS BS

Overview

Introduction MODENS BS is used as a randomizer during the anionic polymerization of SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) to control the microstructure of the polymer, providing high vinyl content and enhanced distribution of styrene. MODENS BS is usually used at a temperature above 50°C with alkyl lithium initiator in a hydrocarbon solvent, usually hexane. SBS is used for asphalt modification as well as compounding, sealants, adhesives and medical devices.
