Overview

Iodo-PEG2-alcohol is a PEG linker comprised of an iodine group and a terminal hydroxyl group. The hydrophilic PEG linker improves water solubility. The iodide (I) is a very good leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
