Lipid M is an ionizable cationic lipid (pKa = 6.75) employed in the development of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for in vivo mRNA delivery. LNPs formulated with Lipid M and mRNA encoding influenza virus genes enhance anti-influenza virus IgG titers in cynomolgus monkeys while avoiding local edema, erythema, or elevated systemic IL-6 levels.
