Lurtotecan

Overview

Lurtotecan, a semi-synthetic analog of camptothecin, stabilizes the topoisomerase I-DNA complex, inhibiting DNA replication and causing apoptosis through the formation of an enzyme-drug-DNA ternary complex. It also disrupts RNA synthesis, promotes the degradation of topoisomerase I, and alters chromatin structure, making it useful in PROTAC development for targeted cancer treatments.
