Overview

1-Octanoyl-rac-glycerol is a monoacylglycerol of octanoic acid. 1-Octanoyl-rac-glycerol has been shown to reduce the growth of a variety of bacteria and pathogenic fungi. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
