1-Monoelaidin

Overview

1-Monoelaidin is a monoolein-based biocompatible polymer with two terminal hydroxy groups. 1-Monoelaidin has been used as a drug carrier due to its phase transition temperature of about 37°C, which allows it to dissolve in the body at physiological temperature. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
