Overview

Cholesterol esters (CEs) can modulate membrane fluidity and bilayer thickness upon interacting with triacylglycerols (TAGs) and phospholipids (PLs). Unsaturated esters such as these have been shown to affect the liquid crystalline phases of these type of lipids.
