DL-Thioctic acid

Overview

DL-Thioctic acid contains a lipoic acid group and a terminal carboxylic acid group. The carboxylic acid groups can undergo sequential amide coupling reaction with amine-bearing biomolecules in the presence of EDC, HATU, and DCC to form stable amide bonds.
