Overview

N-Desmethyl-loperamide is a major metabolite of loperamide, a drug that selectively activates peripheral μopioid receptors with a K i value of 0.16 nM. N-Desmethyl-loperamide is a substrate of the ATP-dependent efflux transporter P-glycoprotein .
