Lyxose

Overview

Lyxose is a pentose carbohydrate that serves both as a precursor for synthesizing UDP-galactopyranose mutase inhibitors in tuberculosis research and as an inhibitor of hSGLT5 -mediated mannose uptake. The content of Lyxose in the cecum of mice fed a Western-style diet decreases.
