(2E)-Eicosenoic acid is an inhibitor of Mycobacterium tuberculosis protein tyrosine phosphatase A ( PtpA ). (2E)-Eicosenoic acid exhibits strong inhibitory activity against PtpA with an IC 50 value in the low micromolar range. (2E)-Eicosenoic acid can be used for research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection .
