Triptolide

Overview

Triptolide is a diterpene triepoxide, immunosuppresive agent extracted from the Chinese herb Tripterygium wilfordii. It has immunosuppressive, anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative and antitumour effects. Triptolide is an NF-κB activation inhibitor. Source summary: Triptolide is a transcription inhibitor ADC cytotoxin targeting RNA polymerase II for tumor-selective apoptosis in solid cancer models.
