Centpropazine

Overview

Centpropazine (CNPZ) is a brain-penetrant and non-selective antagonist of serotonin ( 5-HT 1 / 5-HT 2 ) and adrenergic (α 1 ) receptors . Centpropazine functions by modulating monoamine neurotransmission, particularly reducing serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake, to exert antidepressant effects. Centpropazine is promising for research of depression.
