EP055

Overview

EP055 is a non-hormonal male contraceptive. EP055 targets to sperm protein EPPIN and inhibits anti-EPPIN antibodies from binding EPPIN with an IC 50 of 1121 μM. EP055 can inhibit sperm motility ( IC 50 = 199.5 μM) by reducing the internal pH and Ca 2+ levels of the sperm, thereby causing the sperm to aggregate. EP055 can be used for development of male contraceptive.
