Deferasirox methyl ester

Overview

Deferasirox methyl ester (compound 6a), a derivative of Deferasirox ( HY-17359 ), is an antimicrobial agent. Deferasirox methyl ester exhibits activities against Staphylococcus aureus , Staphylococcus epidermidis , Escherichia coli , Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger with MIC s of 0.5, 4.0, 1.0, 4.0, and 2.0 μg/mL, respectively. Deferasirox methyl ester can be used for antimicrobial research.
