Overview

SQ-33600 is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. SQ-33600 has cholesterol-lowering activity. SQ-33600 possesses cell-type selectivity, with much higher inhibitory activity on rat hepatocytes ( IC 50 : 93 nM) than on human skin fibroblasts ( IC 50 : 14200 nM). SQ-33600 can be used in the research of diseases such as hypercholesterolemia.
