Lecozotan hydrochloride

Overview

Lecozotan (SRA-333) hydrochloride is an orally active and selective antagonist of 5-HT 1A with a K i of 4.5 nM for cloned human 5-HT 1A receptor. Lecozotan hydrochloride enhances the stimulated release of glutamate and acetylcholine in the hippocampus and possesses cognitive-enhancing properties. Lecozotan hydrochloride has the potential for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD) research.
