Overview

[Hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene is an effective reagent for the one-step conversion of ketones to the corresponding α-tosyloxy ketones. [Hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene is also a Bronsted acid and is expected to catalyze the enolization of ketones.
