Overview

Dihydroergotamine (DFN-19) is a BBB-permeable and semisynthetic, hydrogenated ergot alkaloid. Dihydroergotamine can cause vasoconstriction by stimulating alpha-adrenergic and 5-HT 2A receptors. Dihydroergotamine can be used in the research of migraine.
