1-Pyrenebutanoyl-CoA is a type of coenzyme A that can non-competitively inhibit (K i = 2 μM) phosphorylating (ADP-stimulated) respiration in rat liver mitochondria, and competitively inhibit (K i = 2.1 μM and 15 μM) carnitine palmitoyl-CoA transferase and octanoyl-CoA transferase .
