Linagliptin

Overview

Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting DPP-4, thereby increasing incretin hormone levels (GLP-1 and GIP) to enhance glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppress glucagon release.
