4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester is an ABTS free radical scavenger with an IC 50 of 5.95 μM. 4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester shows no antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , and Pseudomonas aeruginosa . 4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester can be used in liver injury protection studies.
