Pomisartan

Overview

Pomisartan is an orally active angiotensin II receptor type AT1 antagonist ( IC 50 =0.26 μM). Pomisartan works by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor , thereby blocking the vasoconstriction and aldosterone release caused by this interaction. Pomisartan results in a blood pressure-lowering effect.
