MOPSO sodium is a zwitterionic biological buffer with a functional pH range of 6.2 to 7.6. MOPSO sodium serves as a component of buffered charcoal yeast extract medium; it can also be used to prepare a MOPSO sodium-ethanol buffer system for the immobilization of urine-derived cells.
